Rick Linden, PhD, Consulting Associate
Synopsis
Rick Linden is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Criminology Research Centre at the University of Manitoba. Following B.A. and M.A. degrees at the University of Alberta, he completed a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Washington in 1974. He is the author of over 50 published papers and government reports and is the editor of the best-selling criminology text in Canada. From 1988-1992 he served as editor of the Canadian Journal of Criminology.
Dr. Linden's research interests have ranged from community and problem-oriented policing and police ethics to the history of the justice system in Western Canada.
